Augusta National Golf Club has released the complete tee times for the opening two rounds of the 90th Masters Tournament, with play set to begin Thursday morning in threesome format.
The tournament will kick off at 7:40 a.m. ET on Thursday with Johnny Keefer and Haotong Li teeing off from the first hole. The early morning wave also features 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama grouped with Collin Morikawa and Russell Henley at 10:19 a.m.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler headlines the afternoon session, teeing off at 1:44 p.m. alongside Robert MacIntyre and Gary Woodland. The defending champion will look to continue his dominant form that has made him the betting favorite entering the week.
Rory McIlroy, still seeking his first Masters victory to complete the career Grand Slam, will play in the 10:31 a.m. group with Cameron Young and amateur Mason Howell. The Northern Irishman has finished in the top 10 at Augusta National multiple times but has yet to don the green jacket.
Other notable groupings include Jon Rahm with Chris Gotterup and Ludvig Åberg at 1:08 p.m., while Jordan Spieth joins Justin Rose and Brooks Koepka at 1:20 p.m. Bryson DeChambeau, coming off strong recent form, is paired with Matt Fitzpatrick and Xander Schauffele at 10:07 a.m.
The field includes several amateurs, denoted by the (a) designation. Amateur standouts include Jackson Herrington, who will play with Ángel Cabrera and Sami Välimäki at 8:14 a.m., and Brandon Holtz, grouped with two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson and Nico Echavarria.
J.J. Spaun enters the tournament fresh off his victory at the Valero Texas Open, where he captured his second PGA Tour title. The 33-year-old will tee off at 12:44 p.m. Friday in the second round alongside Maverick McNealy and Tyrrell Hatton.
McNealy has been complimentary of challenging golf courses this season, recently praising TPC Sawgrass. "The first time I played TPC Sawgrass I didn't really understand the hype and now this is my fifth or something players and it's probably top three courses on TOUR for me," said McNealy. "It grew on me every single time I play it. I notice different features, and I think every hole is just awesome."
The second round on Friday will see the same groups play but with reversed tee times, ensuring all players experience both morning and afternoon conditions at Augusta National. The early starters from Thursday will play in the afternoon session Friday, while the afternoon groups will tee off in the morning.
Two-time Masters champion José María Olazábal, now 58 years old, continues to compete at Augusta National thanks to the lifetime invitation afforded to past champions. He'll play alongside Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and amateur Aldrich Potgieter at 8:02 a.m. Thursday.
