Hannah Green etched her name in Australian golf history on Sunday, becoming the first woman from the country to claim three successive international tournament victories with her triumph at the Australian WPGA Championship.
The world number seven delivered a commanding performance at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club on the Gold Coast, carding a final-round 69 to finish at 16-under-par, four shots clear of the chasing pack.
"It feels really amazing - it's been a really crazy month and really special to be able to do this in Australia," said Green after her historic achievement.
The 29-year-old entered the Ladies European Tour event riding high from back-to-back victories at the Australian Open and the LPGA's Women's World Championship in Singapore. Her recent dominance marks a remarkable purple patch for the 2019 Women's PGA Championship winner.
Green's path to victory was made even more special by having her husband, professional golfer Jarryd Felton, serve as her caddie for the third consecutive tournament. The arrangement came about due to her regular caddie being unable to leave the United States while applying for a green card.
Starting the final day with a two-shot advantage, Green maintained her composure to secure a comprehensive victory. Germany's Alexandra Försterling and South Africa's Casandra Alexander finished tied for second place on 12-under-par, with Försterling carding a final-round 68 and Alexander posting 71.
England's Meghan MacLaren claimed fourth place at 10-under following her closing 71, while Scotland's Kelsey MacDonald, despite opening with a course-record 64, struggled over the remaining rounds to finish tied for 41st at two-over-par.
The victory marked Green's first triumph on the Ladies European Tour circuit, adding to her growing international portfolio. Before her Australian Open victory in Adelaide in early February, she had never claimed a LET title.
Green's current form represents the pinnacle of her professional career, building on the foundation of her major championship breakthrough at the 2019 Women's PGA Championship. The Australian's ability to perform at the highest level across different tours demonstrates her versatility and mental strength.
With her confidence soaring and husband-caddie partnership proving successful, Green will next turn her attention to the LPGA Aramco Championship in Las Vegas, scheduled to begin on April 2nd. The event will provide another opportunity for the Australian to extend her remarkable winning streak on the global stage.
