Pierceson Coody withdrew from the Texas Children's Houston Open Friday morning with a back injury, effectively crushing his hopes of earning a late Masters invitation. The grandson of 1971 Masters champion Charles Coody was ranked No. 51 in the world and needed to crack the top 50 to qualify for Augusta National.
