In a memorable evening held on FS1, the inaugural LIV Golf Showcase recognized the standout achievements of players in the 2025 golf season. This awards special, dedicated to honoring remarkable performances, crucial moments, and significant contributions to the sport, showcased the depth of talent within the LIV Golf League.
The event featured 22 awards distributed among 13 different players and 12 teams. Among the most notable honors was the MVP award, presented to Joaquín Niemann of Torque GC. "Winning MVP is an incredible honor, and I can't thank my team enough for all their support this season," said Niemann.
Acclaimed for his impressive performances, Jon Rahm was awarded Clutch Player of the Year. "It's been an amazing year, and I'm proud to be recognized in such a competitive field," Rahm stated. Additionally, the Breakout Star of the Year award went to David Puig of Fireballs GC, highlighting his emergence as a force in professional golf.
Bryson DeChambeau stood out with his remarkable achievements, winning both Drive of the Year and Win of the Year. His highlight reel features a staggering 410.8-yard drive at LIV Golf Mexico City and his triumph at LIV Golf Korea. "When you execute like that, it feels good to have our hard work recognized," DeChambeau expressed.
Phil Mickelson also had a strong showing, taking home multiple accolades, including Shot of the Year for a standout performance. He remarked, "This is what we play for—moments like these that define our careers. I’m thrilled to receive this honor among such talented peers."
Encapsulating the spirit of the evening was an award for the finest Team Win, which was given to Torque GC for their remarkable performance with a score of -64 in Indianapolis. The award winners represent a mix of expert committee selections, fan voting, and player input, showcasing the democratic nature of the event.
The LIV Golf Showcase featured two awards particularly focused on the viral culture of golf on YouTube. The highlight: a special appearance from popular golf content creators Fat Perez and Bob Does Sports, who took home the award for Best Golf Influencer Moment of the Year with their collaborative video series. “Being acknowledged in this category is awesome because it bridges the gap between traditional and social media,” Perez said.
Other awards announced at the showcase include Comeback Player of the Year awarded to Bubba Watson and Caddie of the Year to Adam Hayes, Jon Rahm's trusted aide. Watson remarked on his honor, saying, "After the challenges I faced, this recognition means the world to me."
Marking the evening’s significance, the committee also presented The Impact Award to Majesticks GC for their contributions to the league’s growth. “They have truly made a difference both on and off the course,” commented a league member.
Incorporating a unique format throughout the broadcast, the LIV Golf Showcase was produced by EverWonder Studio and Lost Tribe Productions. It combined a traditional awards presentation with animated elements and candid player dialogue, providing an immersive experience that recapped the season's highlights.
In addition to celebrating individual players, the Showcase also highlighted team performances and memorable moments. The Celebration of the Year was awarded to Southern Guards for their spirited performance in Chicago, while Dom Dolla's concert in Adelaide was named Concert of the Year.
As the LIV Golf season continues to flourish with diverse talent and unforgettable moments, the Showcase serves both as a testament to the players’ dedication and a preview of what fans can expect in the future. With the successful inaugural awards evening behind them, LIV Golf looks poised to advance the sport further, blending traditional competition with modern entertainment.
