Dustin Johnson's 4Aces GC continued their remarkable resurgence, claiming the team championship at Aramco LIV Golf Singapore with a commanding five-shot victory at 27-under par.
The triumph marks the second consecutive week the squad has tasted victory in Asia, building momentum after breaking a lengthy winless streak that had stretched across 32 regular-season tournaments.
Thomas Pieters spearheaded the final-round charge with a flawless 6-under 65, while Anthony Kim contributed a bogey-free 69. Johnson and Thomas Detry added scores of 69 and 70 respectively, combining for an 11-under team total that proved untouchable on Sunday.
"Obviously the league gets better every single year. It gets harder to win," Johnson said. "You've got to have four really good players if you want to have a chance to win. Right now, I feel like we do."
The individual performances across the tournament reflected the team's balanced strength. Pieters finished tied for sixth at 9-under, while Johnson claimed a tie for tenth at 7-under. Detry and Kim rounded out the scoring at tied for fifteenth (6-under) and tied for seventeenth (5-under) respectively.
"It's been fun," Kim said after his bogey-free 69 that left him tied for 17th. "I get to hang out with my family, and I get to play some practice rounds with the boys. Great group of guys. I'm excited to be on the team and looking forward to some more wins."
The recent success draws inevitable comparisons to 4Aces GC's dominant inaugural 2022 season, when they won four consecutive regular-season tournaments and eventually captured the Team Championship. Johnson, the sole remaining member from that original lineup, reflected on the evolution of competition within LIV Golf.
"Given the talent in the league now and how deep it is and how difficult it is to win out here, I think it's just as strong as the first year," he said.
The victory propels 4Aces GC to second place in the team standings with 78 points, trailing leaders Ripper GC by just 2.75 points. Ripper GC had previously won back-to-back events to start the season before 4Aces GC began their own streak.
While Bryson DeChambeau claimed individual honors with a playoff victory over Richard T. Lee at 14-under par, the team competition showcased the depth and balance that has made 4Aces GC formidable once again.
Ripper GC finished second in the team standings at 22-under, followed by Legion XIII at 21-under, but neither could match the consistency displayed by Johnson's reinvented squad.
With momentum building and the team chemistry clearly clicking, 4Aces GC appears positioned to challenge for more victories as the LIV Golf season progresses. Their transformation from a winless drought to consecutive triumphs demonstrates the competitive balance that has emerged across the league since its inception.
