LIV Golf Adelaide has achieved the impressive feat of being named the World’s Best Golf Event for the third year running, as recognized by the World Golf Awards. This accolade underscores the growing prominence of the tournament and affirms South Australia's emergence as a premier host for elite sporting events.
The World Golf Awards, part of the esteemed World Travel Awards program, relies on votes from golf industry professionals, media, and the general public to honor outstanding achievements in global golf tourism. Recognizing excellence in various categories, the awards highlight the commitment of events like LIV Golf Adelaide to raising the bar.

This consistent recognition not only showcases the tournament’s success but also reflects its capacity to offer a unique experience that captivates fans worldwide.
Since its inception in 2023, LIV Golf Adelaide has revolutionized the concept of a golf tournament, seamlessly integrating live music, entertainment, and sustainability initiatives to foster a festival-like vibe. This year’s edition was no exception, featuring a record-breaking turnout with over 102,000 fans gathering at The Grange Golf Club, eager to witness elite competition and vibrant entertainment.
Joaquin Niemann’s individual victory and a formidable team performance from Fireballs GC captivated the crowd and further enhanced the event's reputation. The atmosphere generated at LIV Golf Adelaide has become a defining element of its international success.

In addition to winning the World’s Best Golf Event title, LIV Golf Adelaide has also received re-certification to the GEO Tournament Standard, which serves as a benchmark for sustainability and environmental excellence in golf. Earlier in 2025, LIV Golf was recognized as the first professional golf league to achieve ISO 20121 certification for sustainable event management, placing it alongside other elite organizations such as Formula 1 and the Olympic Games.
LIV Golf events, including Adelaide, have implemented various sustainability initiatives, such as biodegradable signage, solar-powered light towers, and fully electric staff vehicles. Remarkably, during this year's tournament, 19.15% of the event's electricity came from renewable sources, marking an increase from 15% in 2024. Additionally, 89% of all event vehicles were hybrid models. The introduction of Draught Toppers allowed for the conversion of cans into reusable aluminum cups, significantly minimizing waste at the tournament site.
